Dr Jürgen Stahl

Qualifications: MBBS, MD, BmedSci, PhD, FRCPA, FRCPath.

About:

Jürgen was born in Germany where he obtained his medical degree and M.D. at Hanover University. He then attended the University of Melbourne where he acquired a BMedSci and a Ph.D., which was awarded for studying the molecular biology of growth factors. Jürgen studied pathology at Flinders Medical Centre and gained his FRCPA in 1996 and then his FRCPath in 1997. He continued to work at Flinders Medical Centre and became Associate Professor in 2004, a title that he still holds.

He continues to be involved in medical student teaching and is on the Board of Censors for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, in the capacity of Chief Examiner for basic pathological science. Jürgen has had a long-standing interest in uropathology, gastrointestinal pathology, liver pathology and cytopathology.
